The Accelerated Second-Degree (BS) Nursing program is designed for students who have earned non-nursing baccalaureate degrees and are interested in a career change. The 51 credit program is based on the generic baccalaureate program, but is organized to be completed by adult learners over 18 months of full-time study.

York doesn’t have absn. Your other option is SUNY Downstate which lots of hunter rejected nursing students choose. My best advice would be to try and see if your prereqs can be accepted else where or finish up at Hunter asap and start the absn (after checking their requirements as well since they also require prereq and pax exam).

Even though I fulfilled pretty much all of the prereqs for ABSN programs, I’m having the hardest time finding ABSN programs in the NYC/Queens area that don‘t have prerequisites expirations (like A&P and microbiology can’t have been taken more than 5 years ago) or don’t allow course retakes (I’ve retaken Bio and Chem courses).
