Elissa became interested in B 12 deficiency after reading the first edition of our book, Could It Be B12? An Epidemic of Misdiagnoses, and learned one of her own family members was afflicted.
What is B 12 Awareness? B 12 Awareness is bringing vitamin B 12 deficiency to the forefront by educating the public and health care community to the dangers of B 12 deficiency. An estimated 15% to 25% of older adults have a B 12 deficiency, but many of them are never tested or diagnosed.
