Description. The Ridge Trail to Giant Mountain Peak is the best way to access Giant Mountain Peak. This trail is very steep, with almost 3,000 feet of elevation gain over three miles to the summit. Once you arrive at the high peak, the summit views are spectacular.

One of the more accessible and straight-forward high peaks, Giant Mountain is a perfect hike to do as a family or in a larger group. There is a great view from the top, and afterwards, you can cross the road and go for a swim in Chapel Pond.
Overview. Standing alone in the St. Huberts area as the twelfth highest in the Adirondack range and is one of the more dramatic peaks in the park. The peak has two dominate ridges that meet at the summit to form a large basin or washbowl on its western side.
