This tower IS in production by Carlson Communications and available through the usual suspects and direct from Carlson + ship. Appears to be the same design as Glen Martin. Model 10-45HD, 4' aluminum roof tower, mounted flat on a deck for a Hexbeam.

This article documents my rooftop tower build. Glen Martin RT-936. 9' foot tall. Reinforcement of the roof structure, done by the roofers as a part of routine roof replacement. They cross-braced and sistered the roof trusses, similar to the recommendation from Glen Martin.

Great Idea, but options are almost a must. Time Owned: more than 12 months. On a past tower installation, I owned a Glen Martin Hazer (H4) mounted on 40 feet of Rohn 25G. The Hazer is a great unique product for those who do not wish to climb.

I deviated from Glen Martin's instructions and used a pair of 2x10s across the rafters in my attic and eight lengths of all-thread (one for each bolt hole in the feet of the tower) through the 2x10s to brace the tower.
