Hot rods are the next best thing after oem and don't cost much more than a rebuild, so you can keep your oem crank for later rebuild and you will have a spare.

   Aug 22, 2012 · If you asked me my opinion of their cranks, I'd say dont even think about it. Same goes for Hotrods cranks. I fed the engine a steady diet of premium pump gas at 50:1 which is recommended by Yamaha. The stock crank lasted for 5 summers of non stop beating 2 or 3 times a week.
