Born in 1939, Christina was one of five children adopted by Joan Crawford. [1] After graduating from Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, she moved from California to Pittsburgh to attend Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. Her mother paid for Christina's education to study acting.
