NYPD (retired) December 28, 2019. Keith was a wonderful young man and an excellent Sergeant. He worked for me at the NYPD Communications Division. I responded to Bellevue Hospital the night he was killed and rode in a Dept. Helicopter with Rabbi Kass up to Rockland County to notify his mother.
Sergeant Levine got out of the car and chased the male suspect, who then shot and killed him. The suspect had been out of prison for only a few days after serving 11 years for two manslaughter convictions.
