Quick Walkthrough. Find one of the 24 "Unusual Gems" scattered throughout Skyrim. Become a full member of the Thieves Guild (if not one already). Have the gem appraised by Vex at The Ragged Flagon in Riften. Collect the remaining stones of a full set and return to Vex. Retrieve the Crown of Barenziah and return to Vex. Detailed Walkthrough.
- Getting The Quest Started. In order to get the quest started, the player needs to first find one of the 24 Unusual Gems found hidden around Skyrim. Unfortunately, even after the quest has been initiated, the location of these gems won't be marked on the map, so it is up to the player to find them all for themselves.
- Stones In Whiterun. There are four Unusual Gems in Whiterun, most of which are fairly easy to find if players are exploring everywhere they can. One of the easiest to find is in Dragonsreach, found on the right-hand bedside table of the Jarl's Quarters.
- Stones In Falkreath. Three stones can be found in Falkreath, though none within the city itself, unlike Whiterun. The first is in the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary on a table in Astrid's room and requires that the player either join or destroy the Dark Brotherhood in order to reach it.
- Stones In Eastmarch. Two of the stones in Eastmarch are found within Windhelm. The third and fourth are found in Stony Creek Cave, southeast of Windhelm and halfway between Windhelm and Riften, and Ansilvund, found in the same direction though not as far south.
No Stone Unturned is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in which the Dragonborn must recover the scattered Stones of Barenziah to reforge her broken crown and serve as a symbol of inspiration and influence to the Thieves Guild.

Jan 12, 2023 · Begin the No Stone Unturned through a miscellaneous quest by picking up any Unusual Gem from any location. Next, head to Riften and speak with Brynjolf in the Riften marketplace. After completing his task, he will ask the Dragonborn to meet him at the Thieves Guild - gaining access to the Ragged Flagon.

Speak to Vex at the Thieves' Guild about the gem and she will tell you that it is a Stone of Barenziah, but a single stone by itself is worthless. However there are 23 more stones, and together they are worth quite a bit.
