Biography. Randall Wallace is an American screenwriter, director, producer, and songwriter, who came to prominence by writing the screenplay for the 1995 film Braveheart.

The film went on to win five Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director for the film’s star Mel Gibson. The screenplay was by penned by Randall Wallace (no relation), inspired in part by the exploration of his family’s Scottish heritage.
