Reinhold Charles Weege (December 23, 1949 – December 1, 2012) was an American television writer, producer and director. Career. Weege wrote for several television series, including Barney Miller and M*A*S*H. In 1981, he created the short-lived sitcom Park Place. In 1984, he created the sitcom Night Court, which ran for nine seasons on NBC. [1] .

The show is set in the night shift of a Manhattan Criminal Court presided over by a young, unorthodox judge, Harold "Harry" T. Stone (portrayed by Harry Anderson ), and was created by comedy writer Reinhold Weege, who had previously worked on Barney Miller in the 1970s and early 1980s.
