   • This is a measure of everyday life stress. The Hassles Scale was developed in the early 1980s. Two papers were initially published with the scale (DeLongis, Coyne, Dakof, Folkman, & Lazarus, 1982; Kanner, Coyne, Schaefer, & Lazarus, 1981 ), indicating the scale’s reliability and validity.
