Before creating In Living Color and serving as its host for the first four seasons, Keenen Ivory Wayans began chasing down a comedy career in the 1980s, eventually scoring hits as a writer and actor in director and star Robert Townsend’s Hollywood Shuffle in 1987, and making his directorial debut with the Blaxploitation parody I’m Gonna Git You Sucka the following year.
