January, 2022 – Adam Markowitz is a 2014 graduate of the Center’s Furniture Intensive who successfully combines the careers of architect and furniture maker in Melbourne, Australia. When he arrived in Maine for the Intensive, Adam was already a qualified architect and a practicing woodworker.

Jul 30, 2019 · July 30, 2019. Adam Markowitz is an award-winning Designer/Maker of furniture & lighting, a practicing architect and educator. He has trained in furniture design in Hobart and at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art and undertook further craft studies at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine USA.
9th of October 2018. Stepping off the boat in Hobart, Adam Markowitz took up postgraduate furniture design studies at the School of Creative Arts, located in the old IXL factory on the City’s very docks! Here, the focus was on traditional skills and Adam learned from some incredible artisans.
