Jul 7, 2023 · As noted in my post, the _only_ genuine Amazon publishing platform is Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing. Any other “publishing” or “marketing” company using the Amazon name or trademarks–like the one you’re working with–is highly likely to be a scam.

Occasionally, they are from vendors looking to circumvent Amazon's rules, but most are shotgun emails from phishers. <strong><em>Never click links</em></strong>.

Two companies, Noble Ghostwriting and Amazon Publish Center, charged exorbitant upfront fees ($13,750 and $25,055, respectively) without delivering the promised services or support.
It is a very fickle company that will terminate accounts with no notice and withhold royalties. Overall KDP is no longer a safe place to publish directly. Use alternative sites for safer publishing. KDP direct is a scam for most customers. Date of experience: May 27, 2024
No, Kindle Direct Publishing (the world's largest self-publishing toolbox) is NOT a scam in any way, shape, or form. There aren't any Nigerian princes or IRS impersonators that you need to fear. It's likely all your favorite best-selling authors have published on Amazon at some point, and perhaps even your next-door neighbor.
