Ben was the alien owner of Ben's Pizzeria and was the keeper of the Light of Zartha, during its time on Earth.
Working at the pizzaria was Laura Vasquez, who turned out to be the Light. During her quest for the light, Serleena first finds Ben and asks him where the light is. Ben refuses, and Serleena kills Ben with a single whip of a tentacle, leaving just his fake human skin behind. Just before Serleena kills Ben she calls him a Zarthan.
