Feb 24, 2023 · #1 · Feb 24, 2023. I doubt there's a real reason, but does anyone know why Mercedes switched from using Daimler's signature on the windshield? I started to notice in 2006ish the E and CLS classes would have the "Mercedes" in cursive on the windshield. From then on it seemed like only those models had the cursive "Mercedes".
