Mar 14, 2018 · The Journal of Gospel Music learned that Mr. Clay Graham of the legendary gospel quartet the Pilgrim Jubilees has passed away. One of thirteen children born to Columbus and Josephine Chandler Graham, Clay Graham was born August 26, 1936.
GMF was saddened to receive news of the passing of Cleave Graham of the Pilgrim Jubilees. Cleave passed June 11, at age 96. Born January 8, 1928, Cleave was a cherished member of a family of singers who went on to significantly impact the quartet music scene.
Clay was the son of Columbus Graham and Josephine Graham. He was the 13th of 13 children. He had a career in Gospel Quartet singing spanning 60 years. Following in the footsteps of his older brothers, he and his brother, Cleve Graham took charge of the Pilgrim Jubilees in 1952.
