This skit might make some people cringe today, but back then, it was considered one of the funniest on the show and a fan favorite. Wayans and Grier’s portrayal of two flamboyant gay men critiquing various subjects was a laugh riot and a staple of the show. This particular clip, focusing on film and football, remains one of the most memorable.
While it might seem a bit dated and even uncomfortable by today’s standards, the Hedleys were a hilarious addition to the show during its run. Their numerous jobs and relentless work ethic made them a laugh riot, as the sheer absurdity of their situations left audiences with no choice but to laugh.
This skit would undoubtedly draw criticism today, but the hilarity of Handi-Man lies in the fact that he is a superhero who is also handicapped. It’s a great parody of heroes like Superman and, when taken as satire, is quite entertaining.
Anton Jackson is another character that might offend those who don’t appreciate satire or can’t find humor in a comedic skit. Anton is a homeless man who interacts with high society members, reporters, and even hosts his own home improvement show called This Old Box. As far as Wayans’ characters go, this one is undoubtedly one of the funniest.
Arguably Wayans’ most iconic character, Homey the Clown made him a household name during the show’s run. His penchant for bopping “kids” over the head with a sock and his anti-establishment sentiments resonated with audiences at the time. Homey was a home run when it came to humor, especially when he stuck it to the Man.
While fans may not have seen as much of Damon Wayans as they would like in recent years, there’s no denying that he was one of the best comics to ever come out of In Living Color. If the show had continued, he might have even taken over from his brother Keenan eventually. For now, we can look back and appreciate the laughter he brought to our lives...

With his brother Keenen, Wayans created the Fox sketch comedy series In Living Color, which had a mostly African-American cast. The show went on the air in April 1990. It continued running until May 1994, although Wayans left the show in 1992 to pursue a film career.
