Gordon Tootoosis, CM (October 25, 1941 – July 5, 2011) was a First Nations actor of Cree and Stoney descent. Tootoosis was a descendant of Yellow Mud Blanket, brother of the famous Cree leader Pîhtokahanapiwiyin. He was acclaimed for his commitment to preserving his culture and to telling his people's stories.

Apr 23, 2020 · Gordon Tootoosis passed away on July 5th, 2011 at the age of 69 after being hospitalized with Pneumonia at the St. Paul Hospital in Saskatoon. We remember Gordon Tootoosis as being a great role model for all Native American people.
