Guy Chamberlin. Berlin Guy " Champ " Chamberlin (January 16, 1894 – April 4, 1967), sometimes misspelled Guy Chamberlain, was an American professional football player and coach. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1962 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1965. He was also named in 1969 to the NFL 1920s All-Decade Team .

Guy Chamberlin played and coached in the earliest years of the National Football League when the only meaningful statistic kept was the teams' won-lost record. Winning was a category in which Chamberlin excelled. Of those coaches with 50 or more victories, Guy's 58-16-7 record and .759 winning percentage ranks among the best.
He went back to Nebraska, ran a farm, and was state livestock inspector. Chamberlin died April 4, 1967. In that year the University of Nebraska founded the Chamberlin Trophy, given annually to the outstanding senior football player. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1962, and to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1965.

Guy Chamberlin was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1922 to 1927, finishing his career as the head coach of the Chicago Cardinals. Over his six years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 54-16-7. During his career he was a head coach for six seasons, first with the Canton Bulldogs.
