   Jun 19, 2023 · I had purchased IMG travel interruption insurance and felt I was covered adequately. It turns out that this was not the case. I wish I had read the reviews from other travelers with IMG claims experience. The IMG strategy is to harass their policyholders by requesting information multiple times.

   • It is a good thing that we purchased the travel insurance. We never thought we will need it, my husband came down w pneumonia and had to be hospitalized for 3 days in South Africa. I called the customer service line and they gave me the link for the claim, the service was professional and speedy.

   • Travel insurance is always a bit of a challenge because reading the policy and understanding its terms prior to purchase is so important. We had an unpleasant experience with IMG. After 3 months of going back and forth with them via phone, document uploads, emails etc.. I documented all my contacts.
