  2. Jerry Siegel is an Atlanta-based photographer who captures the intimate portraits and landscapes of the South, especially the Black Belt region of Alabama. His work explores the themes of place, identity, history, and culture in the Deep South, with a keen eye for the curious, the absurd, and the abiding.

  3. Photographer Jerry Siegel was born and raised in Selma and graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta. His first monograph, “Facing South: Portraits of Southern Artists,” was published by the University of Alabama Press in 2011. This body of work has been featured in solo exhibitions at six museums in Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana.
