John Paesano (born July 2, 1977) is an American composer working primarily in film, television, and video games. He is known for collaborating with director Wes Ball on the Maze Runner film trilogy and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, as well as composing for the Marvel Television series Daredevil and The Defenders.

John Paesano was assigned as the composer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, marking his fourth collaboration with Wes Ball after working on the Maze Runner film trilogy (2014–2018). He is the third composer after Patrick Doyle and Michael Giacchino, who scored the predecessors in the Planet of the Apes reboot film series. [1]

There are three different composers, one for each playable character: Philip Sheppard for Kara, Nima Fakhrara for Connor, and John Paesano for Markus. Sheppard's cello sequence in Kara's theme was inspired by the flames of a log fire , whereas the motif layered over it came from the two syllables in her name.
