At 80 points, the DERa score for the DEG portfolio in 2020 was well above the 75-point target. DEG has around 680 employees, who are investing a great deal of commitment and expertise. They work in Cologne and in one of DEG's other 18 locations around the globe. The renewable energy projects financed by DEG in 2021 produce 43 GWh of green electricity each year, saving 15.7 million tonnes of CO emissions. In 2021, DEG mobilised around EUR 507 million for joint projects among private and institutional investors.
2. DEG. The KfW subsidiary DEG provided around EUR 1.5 billion to companies in developing countries and emerging economies to finance private investments in developing countries and emerging economies (2020: EUR 1.4 billion). DEG was able to mobilise EUR 507 million from other investors, an increase of more than 30 % compared to the previous year.
