Laura Madalene Solon (born April 1979) [citation needed] is an English screenwriter, comedian, actress, and winner of the 2005 Perrier Comedy Award. She was the second woman to win as a solo performer, after Jenny Eclair in 1995.
She was born in Merton, London, England in 1979. She is best known for her work on the BBC sketch show The Mighty Boosh, for which she won the British Comedy Award for Best Newcomer in 2006. She has also appeared in the BBC Three sitcom Pramface, and the Channel 4 sitcom Toast of London.
