She was born in 1919 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Porfirio Romay, then-attache to the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles. She appeared in both photoreal and live-action form in the Droopy cartoon "Senor Droopy" (1949).

Lina Romay (born Rosa María Almirall Martínez; 25 June 1954 – 15 February 2012) was a Spanish actress. She often appeared in films directed by her long-time companion, and later husband, Jesús Franco. She appeared in approximately 109 Jesus Franco films made over 30 years.
