Lori Petty is an american actress. She portrays Lolly Whitehill in Orange Is the New Black.
Lori is the oldest of three children and was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee as the daughter of a Pentecostal minister. In 1981, she graduated from North High School in Sioux City, Iowa and worked as a graphic designer in Omaha, Nebraska for several years before pursuing acting.
Prior to becoming an actress, Lori was a graphic designer for several years. She first became noticed in 1991 for playing the surfer who taught Keanu Reeves how to surf in the 1991 action thriller "Point Break"
Lori is 172 cm (5'8) with dyed hair and blue eyes. Since 1985, she has been in 26 movies and 5 television series. She has earned the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

In 2014, Petty was cast as Lolly Whitehill, a inmate with an interest in conspiracy theories in the Netflix comedy-drama series, Orange Is the New Black. She was a guest star in the second season, and a recurring character in the third, fourth and seventh seasons appearing total in 24 episodes.
