Luke Del Rio only committed to us in the first place on account of his pre-existing relationship with Todd Monken (Monken worked with Jack Del Rio in Jacksonville), so when Monken departed, most of us figured Luke was a goner as well. I don't know if the Bama thing will last; place is a definite step down for a QB given the schemes they run.

Apr 9, 2015 · CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Sophomore quarterback Luke Del Rio has decided to leave Oregon State. Del Rio, the son of Oakland Raiders coach Jack Del Rio, threw for 141 yards last season, appearing in three games as backup to senior starter Sean Mannion. He was considered one of Oregon State’s top options at starter now that Mannion has graduated.
