Mary Culver Home Celebrates Woman’s 100th Birthday
The Mary Culver Home is the only care community exclusively for blind women. We have been meeting blind women's needs for over 150 years. The Home has 27 private rooms in a beautiful HOK-designed prairie-style building in charming downtown Kirkwood. We have licensed nurses and caregivers working 24/7 to care for our lovely ladies.
The Mary Culver Home moved to Kirkwood, Missouri, in 1966, following a search for a homelike setting that could easily accommodate the needs of aging residents of the Blind Girls Home. With fewer young blind women moving into the cavernous house at 5235 Page Avenue, the board of directors followed the trend of migrating to the suburbs.
