Dec 10, 2022 · Hello, I have the LaserJet Pro M281fdw. Last week it started continuously jamming the paper in the output bin. The paper makes it almost all the way up where you could see the edge of it at the top output, but as you pull it out it's all crumpled up.
HP Color LaserJet Pro M280 printers - Paper jam error. When you try to print, an error message on the printer control panel prompts you to clear jammed paper from one or more areas of the printer. Jam in output bin. Open rear door and clear jam. Check single sheet slot for jam or close tray 2.
Sometimes a paper jam error persists even though there is no jammed paper (false paper jam). With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Unplug the power cord from the power source. Wait 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
