At the Bloomington Education and Visitor Center, visitors can enjoy exhibits, videos, an art gallery, bird feeding station and nature store; or hike trails and view the valley from the overlook. Access the Visitor Center from 34th Avenue, south of Highway 494.

Visitors can get very close to the Minnesota River.and Long Meadow Lake. The water was high in spring. The restrooms in the shelter building were not yet open for the season, but there was a porta potty.This is a beautiful place for a hike.
