Mungo Jerry (formerly known as Mungo Jerry Blues Band) are a British rock band, formed by Ray Dorset in Ashford, Middlesex, in 1970. Experiencing their greatest success in the early 1970s, with a changing line-up always fronted by Dorset, the group's biggest hit was "In the Summertime".

He doesn’t have a beard to you in 2020 but to a lady in the 1970s, you can bet your ass they’d consider that a hippie beard. I also referenced Mungo Jerry because that’s what her reference was exactly in the movie. Highly doubt back then they would call them mutant chops.
