Go! is a 1961 children's book written and illustrated by P. D. Eastman. It describes the actions and interactions of a group of highly mobile dogs, who operate cars and other conveyances in pursuit of work, play, and a final mysterious goal: a dog party.

[1] Author and illustrator. Eastman, a protégé and colleague of Theodor Geisel (pen name Dr. Seuss), wrote many books for children in his own distinct style. He worked with the Dr. Seuss brand of Random House, many of which were in the Beginner Books series. His titles include: Are You My Mother?

Born on November 25, 1909, in Amherst, Massachusetts, he began his career in the 1930s working in production design and story, first at Walt Disney Studios and later at Warner Brothers Cartoons.
P. D. Eastman. Philip Dey Eastman (1909 – 1986) was born in Amherst, Massachusetts, graduating from Amherst College in 1933. He studied at the National Academy of Design in New York City, and in 1936 moved to Los Angeles to work at the Walt Disney Studios.
