Just had a lovely 4 nights break in Scarborough - fab walking along both the North and South Bay (particularly loved the far South Bay area) promenades - arcades/ big wheel overlooking the beach area with fishing boats, deck chairs and donkeys all right on the front. Felt like being at the Riviera on one of the hot barmy days.

Scarborough has excellent beaches, both North and South Bays. The South Bay is most tourist oriented, with plenty shops, amusements and cafes close by. There are donkey rides here too. The harbour and fun fair is close by, and you can get a ride on the pirate ship for £4 per person.

Dogs are not permitted on Scarborough’s South Bay so if you want to exercise your dog, we recommend heading to North Bay instead.
