May 7, 1999 · The Mummy: Directed by Stephen Sommers. With Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, John Hannah, Arnold Vosloo. At an archaeological dig in the ancient city of Hamunaptra, an American serving in the French Foreign Legion accidentally awakens a mummy who begins to wreak havoc as he searches for the reincarnation of his long-lost love.
Following his producing duties on The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor – which made the trilogy a billion dollar franchise - Sommers wrote, directed and produced G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra for Paramount Studios. Stephen currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and their two daughters.
