Jul 17, 2020 · The 0.2-mile curved street, made up of 27 stunning houses, features some of the prettiest Arts and Crafts properties I have seen, including the one at 216 Oaklawn Avenue, which portrayed the residence of the Browning family in Zathura: A Space Adventure.
The story is about two squabbling brothers, Danny and Walter Budwing (portrayed by Bobo and Hutcherson, respectively) who find a mysterious board game in the basement which transports their house into outer space. Along with their older sister Lisa (Stewart) and an astronaut (Shepard), they try to survive the game so they can return home.

Zathura is a 2002 science fiction children's picture book written and illustrated by American author Chris Van Allsburg. In the story, implied to be set in the 1950s, two brothers; Danny and Walter Budwing are drawn into an intergalactic space adventure when their house is magically hurled through space.
Jun 30, 2021 · The few exterior scenes of the Budwing house were shot at 216 Oaklawn Avenue in South Pasadena, California. Apart from shooting on location, the house also had to go through several modifications as per the script. Unable to modify the actual house in that manner, the crew constructed a smaller version that they then molded and modded accordingly.
