The film engages and provokes thinking. The director has done a superb job, in keeping with his world-class reputation. It's unfair to compare this to Al Gore's film, which was also excellent but much narrower in scope. This film is really epic in covering the subject.
Vivid archival film brings it all back and insightful interviews with activists shed light on what it all means. The film offers a deeper view of environmentalism as civilizational change, bringing our industrial society into a sustainable balance with nature. It’s a battle for a living planet.
