Jun 2020 • Family. We visited Cocoa Beach for the first time, and parked at Alan Shepard Park. The area was nice. We felt safe and our vehicles seemed secure. While you do have to pay to park, it was inexpensive, and beach access was very close. The park also has restrooms & free outdoor showers to rinse off at.

Feb 2016 • Family. We were staying in Orlando and drove the 1 hour 10 min drive to Cocoa Beach for the day. Be prepared to pay some tolls! We picked Alan Shephard Park (intersection of A1A and Route 520) and what a great choice! There are beach rentals where you can get 3 chairs and a nice umbrella for $30.
