Florida. County. St. Johns. Anastasia Island is a barrier island located off the northeast Atlantic coast of Florida in the United States. It sits east of St. Augustine, running north–south in a slightly southeastern direction to Matanzas Inlet. The island is about 14 miles (23 km) long [1] [2] and an average of 1 mile in width.
The beaches of Anastasia can be divided into five main sections, the beach at Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine Beach, Butler Beach, Crescent Beach, and Matanzas Beach. Those who love the beach may prefer to stay on Anastasia Island, where the historic downtown could be anywhere from three miles to 14 miles away.

- St. Johns County Ocean & Fishing Pier. Set along the most popular beach on Anastasia Island, is the St. Johns County Ocean & Fishing Pier. The historic pier has been a fixture not just on St. Augustine Beach but within the lives of locals for almost 100 years.
Anastasia island is nestled between Vilano and St Augustine beaches and offers a rare long coastline unspoiled by condos and hordes of people. They have shower and bathroom facilities, picnic benches, and a snack stand. I also saw a place to rent kayaks. It's a great beach for families.
