Pin is a 1981 American gothic horror thriller novel by Andrew Neiderman, which explores the dysfunctional childhood and later adulthood of two siblings haunted by "Pin", their father's medical anatomy doll which resides in his office and "speaks" via ventriloquism on the father's part.
Read “Pin” in the early 80’s when I was a young teen. I think it was in my moms collection of paper backs. Didn’t see the movie till recently and thought it was nothing like the book. One of the strangest books I’ve ever read! On a side note, growing up we had toy male and female plastic model dolls.
