Actress Arlene Martel, who guest-starred on Star Trek and The Twilight Zone, died Tuesday of complications from a heart attack in Santa Monica, California, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The daughter of Austrian Jewish immigrants, Martel was billed as "Arline Sax" during the early years of her television career. On August 12, 2014, Martel died from heart bypass surgical complications at a hospital in Santa Monica, California. She had been battling breast cancer for the last five years of her life, although this was reportedly not the cause of her death. She was survived by her children and two of her three grandchildren.
