Mar 18, 2021 · John “Black Jack” Kehoe, who newspapers called “King of the Mollies,” was spared the Day of the Rope. But he was hanged for the 1862 murder of mine foreman Frank W. Langdon one week before Christmas 1878, leaving behind his wife, five daughters and his bar, the Hibernian House in Girardville.
