But the guy who runs the pub, Brendan McKinney, is a great piper and flute player, and tends to get ’bigs’ to come to the session when they’re in town. So the craic has been known to be quite good.

Jun 14, 2004 · I’m sure “Brendan” or “Longnote” would be able to tell you about him better than me. Tom McElvogue came out of the Irish scene in Newcastle. He was a frequent and successful competitor in Fleadhs in the 80s.
