The chain started as a small restaurant on South Congress Avenue in Austin, TX run by Don and Dolores Dissman. The only menu item was a single muffuletta sandwich, which is known as The Original today.
The sandwich company got its start thanks to the popularity of the ham, salami, cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan Original, which was served on the restaurant's signature sourdough bun. But today there are flatbreads, pizzas, oven-baked pasta, toasted wraps, salads, and soups at your disposal.
