Die Große Kreisstadt Eilenburg ist eine Stadt an der Mulde im Nordwesten von Sachsen am Rand der Dübener Heide, zirka 20 Kilometer nordöstlich der Universitäts- und Messestadt Leipzig. Die Stadt gehört zum Landkreis Nordsachsen und hat knapp 16.000 Einwohner; damit ist sie die viertgrößte Stadt im Kreis.
