    There are many ways to add a border in Google Docs. You can use a drawing or a table to make a border around the entire page, add borders to paragraphs, and even to images. We'll show you how to add borders in Google Docs.

    To add a border around the page, click "Insert" > "Drawing" > "New," use the shapes tool, and draw a rectangle. Adjust the size and set the text wrap to "behind the text."

    To set a border around a paragraph, select "Format" > "Paragraph styles" > "Borders and Shading," then use the menu to choose a border.

    You can also use the border icons in the menu bar to set a border around an image.

    Create a new drawing in Google Docs.

    You can use a drawing or image to create a border around the entire page of a Google Doc or a specific section. To create a new drawing in your Google Doc:

    in the menu bar at the top.

    To do so, click the Shapes icon (the circle and square) and then click the rectangle.

    Click and drag to draw a rectangle in your preferred size.

    Alternatively, you can draw a custom border in a separate program (i.e.,

    Add a new 1x1 table.

    You can use a table to create a border around the entire page of a document, or just a section that you choose. Use the following steps to add a 1x1 table:

    Click to place the cursor where you want the border to go.

    in the menu bar at the top.

    Click the 1x1 grid space in the upper-left corner of the fly-out menu.

    You can click and drag to resize the edges of the table up and down. If you're adding a table to a document that already exists with text, you might have to cut and paste the text to put it inside the table.

    Click the paragraph you want to add a border to.

    This will place the text cursor inside the paragraph.

    Open the Borders and Shading window.

    Use the following steps to do so:

    in the menu bar at the top.

    Click the border icons to turn on the border.

    Click an image you want to add a border to.

    Click the image to select it.

    To insert an image, click

    in the menu bar at the top. Then click

    Select the image you want to insert.

    To do so, click the icon that resembles a pencil over a solid line in the menu bar at the top, then select a border color. This will add a border to the image.
