Nov 10, 2013 · When GARDEN OF EVIL was released in 1954, I got to see the movie at the Carolina Theater, which is located in Spartanburg, SC. That theater had the gigantic widescreen, which made it a real pleasure to watch movies of that variety back then.

The group arrives at the mine's location--the Garden of Evil, so named because the Indians regard it as the domain of evil spirits. During the escape, Hayward's husband (Hugh Marlowe) is killed by the Indians, as is Mitchell.
