Gas-Oil plot. Early one morning, after a wild night out with his girlfriend Alice, truck driver Jean Chape (Jean Gabin) accidentally runs over a body stretched out on the road. He reports the incident to the police, but they suspect Chape himself and confiscate his truck.

Gas-Oil is a 1955 French crime drama film directed by Gilles Grangier and starring Jean Gabin, Jeanne Moreau, Gaby Basset and Ginette Leclerc. It was shot at the Epinay Studios in Paris and on location at a variety of places.

Aug 21, 2015 · Coming in at number 1, the best movie —about oil (in our opinion) is P.T. Anderson's oilfield epic — There Will Be Blood. Daniel Day-Lewis stars as a miner-turned-oilman in the pursuit of wealth during the California oil boom of the late 19th and 20th centuries.
