Show more reviews. The Ridge Trail to Giant Mountain Peak is the best way to access Giant Mountain Peak. This trail is very steep, with almost 3,000 feet of elevation gain over three miles to the summit. Once you arrive at the high peak, the summit views are spectacular.

One of the more accessible and straight-forward high peaks, Giant Mountain is a perfect hike to do as a family or in a larger group. There is a great view from the top, and afterwards, you can cross the road and go for a swim in Chapel Pond.

Region 5 - Eastern Adirondacks/Lake Champlain. The 23,100-acre Giant Mountain Wilderness is part of the Adirondack Forest Preserve. The wilderness is predominately mountain country containing two peaks above 4,000 feet elevation - its namesake Giant Mountain and Rocky Peak.
Overview. Standing alone in the St. Huberts area as the twelfth highest in the Adirondack range and is one of the more dramatic peaks in the park.
