    This herbs de Provence recipe was developed after looking at many different recipes. It's my version of the classic dried herb seasoning that tastes great in salads and on fish, chicken, beef, or pork. The fragrance is amazing!

    2 tablespoons dried lavender flowers

    2 tablespoons dried Italian parsley

    Grind rosemary and fennel seed in a spice grinder; transfer to a mixing bowl.

    Add savory, thyme, basil, marjoram, lavender, parsley, oregano, tarragon, and bay powder to the bowl; stir well. Store in an airtight container between uses.

  6. The recipe for herbs de Provence only takes about 5 minutes to make. This recipe is the closest I have found that matches the traditional herb blend. The Americanized version includes lavender in the mixture, but I prefer to stick with the original.
